Here are 20 essential biblical words with their gematria values in Hebrew and/or Greek. Each number opens a window into meaning you cannot see in English translation alone.
Hebrew Words
- Torah (תורה) = 611. The Torah has 611 commandments given through Moses; 2 were given directly by God, totaling 613.
- Shalom (שלום) = 376. Shares the same root as shalem (complete). Peace = wholeness, not merely absence of conflict.
- Mashiach / Messiah (משיח) = 358. The same value as nachash (serpent, 358) — the Messiah crushes what shares His number (Genesis 3:15).
- Amen (אמן) = 91 = YHWH(26) + Adonai(65). When you say "Amen," you are invoking both names of God.
- Echad / One (אחד) = 13. The same as ahavah (love). Oneness = love.
- Elohim / God (אלהים) = 86. Also the value of hateva (nature). God and nature share a number — the Creator is imprinted in creation.

- Emet / Truth (אמת) = 441 = 21². Truth is "sin exceeded, perfected" (21 = 3×7) squared.
- Chai / Life (חי) = 18. This is why Jews give gifts in multiples of 18 — "giving life."
- Hallelujah (הללויה) = 86, the same as Elohim — to praise is to invoke God's creative name.

- Pistis / Faith (πίστις) = 800. Omega value — the end, the completion.
